AI Wild Card Show 3/5/09

This is the last time that 8 chosen contestants have to prove that they deserve a spot in the final 12 for this AI season. This will be a fast paced show.

Lets get this party started!! Woot Woot!! (will say I am very upset that my fave Ju'Not did not make it to this round but I will forgive and forget)

Up first, Jesse Langseth, she is singing Tell Me Something Good. She is edgy and I kind of like her but my vote doesn't count this time. pssst. .. I think she forgot to put her pants on. OK to the judges now:
Randy says interesting song choice but she didn't sing it that well.
Kara says notes not on key. She likes her swagger and that she just lets loose... Sasha Fierce like.
Paula is impressed with her determination and she has a lot of soul.
Simon said a lot better then first time. He thought the song and performance was indulgent.

Matt Giraud he's singing Who's Loving You. It is very bluesy. He looks like a Justin Timberlake wanna be. I like this song and he sounds good.
Kara said thank you for bringing back the blues.
Paula said right zone for you and don't go against what you are great at..... and now she is arguing with Simon.
Simon said billion times better but he hates what he is wearing and bits of Taylor Hicks was coming through.
Randy does not care what he wears, he said it was HOT!!

Megan Joy Corkrey is singing Black Horse and the Cherry Tree. I will just say now I don't like her but the judges do. Her singing is OK not nothing to write home about though.
Paula says she looks beautiful, the song matches her personality.
Simon says she is terrific and she is current. He loves her originality.
Randy says he agrees with Simon. They both say not the best vocals but nice choice.
Kara says they need her. WELL I GUESS WE KNOW SHE WILL BE STAYING.

Von Smith is singing Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. He is cutie. He sounds weird kind of like his voice is strained. He's not my fave but I think it is just the song choice messing him up.
Simon loves the song but it didn't start well. He said he is becoming boring.
Randy says it was too serious and he could not find the pitch at the front of the song.
Kara says not crazy about the song but he has great vocal ability.
Paula says he is too concerned about the technical part he is not letting the essence of him out. She thinks he was thinking too hard.

Jasmine Murray is singing Reflection. OK she was horrible in the previous round. Lets hope she brings it. She is doing well. Sound good to me.
Randy says the other day was really really bad. 100 % improved. Some too big moments but some great spots.
Kara says she is confused. She did not realize she had that big of a voice.
Paula says she looks lovely and can tell she was determined and did a wonderful job.
Simon says that was pretty special then what she heard before. It was a brave song choice but it was a HUGE improvement and she just put herself back in the running.

Ricky Braddy is singing Superstitious. OK... he''s wearing skinny jeans... enough said! The singing is decent.
Kara says he can sing his butt off.
Paula says she loves the way he loosened up. Nailed it.
Simon says a bit karaoke and performance a bit clumsy.
Randy says he definitely has a voice but a little self indulgent.

Tatiana Del Toro.... she is just WEIRD and is now speaking with an accent that she has NOT had in the past. She is singing Saving All My Love For You. pssst... I think she forgot her pants too. OK honestly she sings good but I don't like her drama.
Paula says she loves her. She says you grew an accent that she has never heard before. She says that she is all confused now. She started off a little shaky but then went into her power voice.
Simon says that they have heard her sing it three times now and wants to know if she is going to sing the same song every week.
Randy says started off rough but its a mixed bag of tricks. Good moments and not so good moments.
Kara says at least she's not crying.
This girl is weird.... she was kneeling on the ground.

Anoop Desai: I LOVE this guy! ANOOP DAWG!!! He's singing My Prerogative. I just like him. He's cute and can sing.
Simon says very strange night. He says he is like a enthusiastic dog. He says people like him and that's what is important.
Randy says he did better this time then last time and he slayed it!!
Kara says she wanted to get up and dance.
Paula says he is a showman. Everyone loved that performance.
